AMD Unveils RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT: New Flagship Graphics Cards

AMD today unveiled two new graphics cards, the RX 7800 XT and RX 7700 XT. These cards are based on the new Navi 32 GPU and offer significant improvements over their predecessors.

The RX 7800 XT is the flagship card in the lineup. It has 60 Compute Units and 128 AI Accelerators, and it is clocked at up to 2430 MHz. It also has 16GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 19.5 Gbps. AMD claims that the RX 7800 XT will be on average 3.5% faster than the GeForce RTX 4070 in 1440p gaming.

The RX 7700 XT is a mid-range card. It has 54 Compute Units and 108 AI Accelerators, and it is clocked at up to 2550 MHz. It also has 12GB of GDDR6 memory clocked at 18 Gbps. AMD claims that the RX 7700 XT is 12% faster than the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB in the same tests.

Both cards will support DisplayPort 2.1 and will be available from AIB partners. The price and release date of the cards have not yet been announced.
